General Manager

Currently a resident Taylorsville Kentucky, Houston has always enjoyed working with design and fabrication in a shop environment. A graduate from Western Kentucky University in Graphic Design, he has also grown up around his fathers woodshop.

After a few years in the graphic design world, Houston took a job producing shop drawings for a custom furniture and casework fabricator, which eventually led to a shop manager position. Once his wife's new job brought them to Louisville, he then worked as a shop manager for a custom stone countertop fabricator. Now as the GM of Adze Cabinets, Houston is excited to have his hands in all stages of designing and production of custom cabinets and wood components.

Houston enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and their two dogs. He also enjoys riding his bike in the woods, and getting on the lake!

Cabinet Wizard/ Expert

Wes Shrock brings over four decades of mastery to ADZE Cabinets as our Cabinet Wizard. A true industry veteran, Wes began his journey in 1980, honing a deep expertise in the art of building and designing high-quality custom cabinetry.

His extensive background includes 20 years as a business owner, where he successfully managed both a remodeling company and a dedicated cabinet shop for a decade each. This dual perspective allows him to understand the intricacies of a project from the initial architectural vision to the final, precise installation. To further his commitment to excellence, Wes is a Certified NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) Designer, ensuring that every project he touches meets the highest standards of functional beauty and industry innovation. Before joining the ADZE team, he spent eight years contributing his expertise at a local well-known custom cabinet manufacturer, further solidifying his reputation in the field.

When he isn’t conjuring up the perfect cabinet layout, Wes enjoys a well-rounded life in Louisville. He is an avid traveler who loves setting sail on cruises, a talented guitar player, and a dedicated gardener. As a true local, he is also a passionate supporter of the University of Louisville (UofL).

Finishing Specialist

Born and raised in Louisville, Brian is our Finishing Specialist and Shop Aid here at Adze cabinetry. He takes pride in his work and his attention to detail.

Brian has worked in finishing for the last 15 years, along with also doing painting, and remodeling. Brian loves all aspects finishing, and has always been drawn to jobs that are hands on. He also enjoys learning any skill he can to add to his growing list.

When not working you can likely find him out in nature with his pups, at a thrift store searching for old treasures, or at home relaxing.
